    Rhode Island Prayer Meeting Interpreting Workshop

    Sponsored by New England Deaf & Hard of Hearing Ministry

     

    Topic:  Life Lines, Staying Afloat while Navigating Frozen Text in Christian Settings  

    This workshop will provide attendees an opportunity to see renditions of frozen text (text that does not change) that is commonly used in Christian settings, including prayers, songs, scripture passages, creeds and vocabulary that is not generally used in secular settings. Attendees will also have the chance to work on their own text analysis and come up with a rendition of their own and share their interpretation with the group. This will be a very practical session to help you develop your ability to interpret more successfully in Christian settings.

     

    This workshop will be in spoken English. Anyone requiring ASL interpretation should make their request by March 1st
